  1. Tight delivers a pre‑configured Chart of Accounts (CoA) template tailored to your user base.
  2. Your team can then review and make direct edits to the template.
  3. You can also create multiple CoA templates for different business segments.
  4. Once revised, Tight accounting experts will review the template(s) and provide best practice feedback to ensure the template allows the businesses on your platform to smoothly migrate off of their legacy accounting platform.
  5. Tight applies the CoA template to your platform account so that it will be applied to any new companies you create in the Tight API.
Business owners and/or their accountants can modify a given business’s Chart of Accounts at any time. The default template(s) are meant to be a highly-tailored starting point for each of the business segments your platform supports.
