Overview

Tight integrates directly with Mixpanel so that actions that your users take inside Tight’s embeddable user interface (or via your home-built interface on top of the Tight API) will be tracked using Mixpanel events. This allows you to leverage your existing Mixpanel implementation for product analytics or add a new Mixpanel integration so that you can iterate your product more successfully.

Create a Mixpanel Project

If you haven’t done so already, you should create a Mixpanel account.

Securely sharing your Mixpanel Project Token

Once your project is created, navigate to Project Settings from your Mixpanel project dashboard. From there, copy the Project Token and use the Configure Mixpanel API to securely share your Project Token.

Identify users (optional)

If you are identifying your user with Mixpanel using something different than the userId that you use to create companies in the Tight API, then you will need to provide the identifier used in Mixpanel for that user.
