Overview

Tight integrates directly with Intercom so that actions that your users take inside Tight’s embeddable user interface (or via your home-built interface on top of the Tight API) will be tracked using Intercom events. This allows you to leverage your existing Intercom integration or add a new Intercom integration so that you can:
  • Provide targeted customer support based on user actions in Tight
  • Trigger lifecycle messaging campaigns based on accounting activity
  • Track product analytics and user engagement
  • Build custom workflows and automations in Intercom

Create an Intercom Workspace

If you haven’t done so already, you should create an Intercom account and set up a workspace for your application.

Securely sharing your Intercom App ID

Copy the App ID and use the Configure Intercom API to securely share your App ID with Tight.

Identify users (optional)

If you are identifying your users in Intercom using something different than the userId that you use to create companies in the Tight API, then you will need to provide the identifier used in Intercom for that user. This ensures that events from Tight are properly attributed to the correct user profile in Intercom.
