Overview

Tight integrates with Twilio to send RCS and SMS messages to business owners as needed, to ensure efficient onboarding, activation, and book maintenance.

Onboarding & Activation

  • Link bank account
  • If migrating, link legacy accounting platform (e.g. QuickBooks Online, Xero, Wave)

Book Maintenance

  • Ask questions on ambiguous transactions (e.g. Zelle Deposits, Checks with no description, etc.)
  • Monthly financial summary delivery
  • Bank connection issues requiring action
  • Other configurable accounting milestones

Integrating Twilio

Create a Twilio Account

If you don’t have one already, sign up for a Twilio account.

Get a Phone Number

You need a Twilio phone number that Tight will use to send SMS messages to your business owners.
  1. From the Twilio Console, go to Phone Numbers > Manage > Buy a number
  2. Filter by SMS capability and select a number
  3. Purchase the number and copy it in E.164 format (e.g., +12025551234)

Retrieve Your Credentials

From the Twilio Console Dashboard:
  1. Copy your Account SID (begins with AC)
  2. Reveal and copy your Auth Token

Share Your Credentials with Tight

Use the Configure Twilio API to securely share your Account SID, Auth Token, and phone number (or Messaging Service SID) with Tight.
