Tight recognizes that payment processing is critical to the business model of many FinTechs. As such, the Tight API allows you to connect your own Qualpay partner account, so that you own the relationship between your customer and Qualpay, including any associated economic benefits.

1. How it works

Tight's Invoicing API makes it easy for your team to provide invoicing functionality to your users, and your users can collect payments via the payment rails of your choosing. When leveraging Tight's Qualpay integration, your users will be able to collect payments from their clients via credit card or ACH, and your development team will not need to do any Qualpay-specific development.

2. Getting started

If you haven't already done so, you should create a Qualpay sandbox account for your company/app.

3. Securely share your Qualpay keys

Once you have created your Qualpay partner account for the sandbox environment, you should:

  1. Click on the "Administration" tab on the left navigation, and then click on "APIs & Security"
  2. Click the button on the top right to create a "New API Profile"
  3. Name the profile, e.g. "Tight API Profile"
  4. Copy the "Security Key" that is displayed, and save that into a text file; note this key will only be displayed once
  5. Copy the "Integrator ID" that is displayed, and save that into a text file
  6. Contact us directly at api@tight.com for instructions on how to securely share the Security Key and Integrator ID from numbers 4 and 5, respectively

4. Going live in production

The Tight API team will coordinate with the Qualpay team in order to perform QA testing, obtain access to production keys, and ultimately go live in production.
